I'm Rachael Snowdon-Poole

 

Hello, I’m Rachael – a headteacher, trust leader, and education consultant with over 20 years of experience in shaping schools, developing leaders, and creating thriving learning communities.

Throughout my career, I’ve balanced the day-to-day realities of leading schools with the bigger picture of driving trust-wide improvement. As both a serving headteacher and a director within a multi-academy trust, I know what it feels like to be pulled in many directions while trying to stay focused on what matters most: making a real difference for pupils.

That’s why I created The Leadership Lens and my wider work – to share the insights, strategies, and practical tools that help leaders cut through the noise, lead with confidence, and keep their values at the heart of their decisions.

I believe professional development shouldn’t be expensive, overwhelming, or out of touch with the realities of school life. My approach blends research-informed strategies with lived experience – offering affordable, accessible ways for leaders to stay sharp, stay supported, and stay inspired.

When I’m not recording the weekly free podcast or supporting schools, I’m building tailored resources, running the Education Book Club, and providing premium training content designed to help leaders grow sustainably in both skill and confidence.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to empower school leaders with clarity, courage, and community – so they can achieve excellence without burning out.
